Inventive Releases iClip 3.5 Productivity Software for Mac OS X

New Version Features New Menu System, Persistent Clipboard Recorder, Improved Help

Inventive, Inc. announces the release of iClip version 3.5, their award winning productivity software for Mac OS X. iClip enables users to quickly store, organize, and access snippets of information without having to save them as entire documents.

Now available in iClip is a new menu system that moves the main iClip functions from the global menu to a set of menus directly within the iClip window, making it much more intuitive to use. The contents of the Clipboard Recorder are now automatically preserved through iClip relaunches and restarts, eliminating the need for users to explicitly store it before quitting. Also new in version 3.5 are significant improvements to iClip documentation, in that it now uses Apple's Help Viewer application, making it easy to print and search.

Mac Mini spurs interest in home media systems

Since the Mac Mini has been released, a whole flock of sites dedicated to turning it into a home media center have appeared. There are at least two open source home media projects: Mac Media Center Project and iTheater.

Apple Security Update 2005-001

A new security update is now available via the Software Update panel. Security Update 2005-001 delivers a number of security enhancements and is recommended for all Macintosh users. This update includes the following components: at commands, ColorSync, libxml2, Mail, PHP, Safari.
