TORQUE 1.2.0p0, an open-source project from Cluster Resources, was officially released to the public last week with improvements that resolve all known Mac OS X compatibility issues.

Working with partner sites, Cluster Resources, Inc. has enhanced the TORQUE Resource Manager to provide several workarounds for OS-level client-server communication failures and memory reporting issues in Mac OS X. The latest release has solved all known issues associated with these failures.

The bioinformatics company AbOrygen, located in Mougins, France, this week announced that a new release of biOpen® for Mac OS X is available. biOpen® is a new and unique sequence analysis and structure visualization software based on dynamic integration of analysis tools. Integrated modularity gives the user the freedom to pick the analysis tools that meet his needs and budget. All selected tools work in a fully integrated environment with powerful display and project management capabilities. A new demo version is now available to download.
