I have an external drive on wich i stored my Panter installation. Former problems could be tamed be installing a patch that maxtor offered on their website.

The problems were slow data transfer and system freeze.

Any graphics folks who have Tiger (or anybody who likes a graphics toy) should check out the amazing Core Image Fun House. Install the Developer tools from the installation disk, then go to the Developer Folder on your HD.
