Parallels Desktop RC3 supports XP to Vista upgrade

Parallels has released a new release candidate of Parallels Desktop for Mac. The major changes in RC3 (Build 3170) include the ability to upgrade seamlessly from Windows XP to Windows Vista. New options to drag-and-drop make it even more secure.

Ubuntu dropping PowerPC support

Beginning with Ubuntu 7.04 ("Feisty Fawn", to be released in April 2007), the PowerPC edition of Ubuntu will no longer be officially supported. The PowerPC software itself and supporting infrastructure will continue to be available, and supported by a community team. However, support for Intel Macs has been added in this release.

BBEdit and TextWrangler updates from Bare Bones Software

Bare Bones Software has released maintenance updates to BBEdit and TextWranger, now available for download from their Web site, http://www.barebones.com/support/updates.shtml. No release notes are available for TextWrangler 2.2.1. The changes to BBEdit 8.6.1 include the following:
