Parallels Desktop Beta 2 Released
Competition is heating up in the Mac virtualization software market with the release of Parallels latest beta. Build 5120 adds several new features and improves performance dramatically. I'm now running it on my 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro and I find it to be more responsive than the latest version of VMware, particularly when switching between windows in Coherence mode.

First native IM for iPhone

Leopard Software Update
Apple has released a new Leopard update for developers running build 9A499. Rather than downloading a new disk image, this version is available via Software Update. You need to run Software Update (and reboot) twice. The first time it will install a new Software Update client, and the second time it will download the actual system update. After updating, the build version is 9A500n.
