Wii Transfer 2.5 adds movie streaming

Riverfold Software has released version 2.5 of Wii Transfer, the Mac companion for the Nintendo Wii. The most significant Wii Transfer release to date, version 2.5 introduces movie streaming, bookmark sharing, picture background music, better Wii remote navigation, and more.

Special Edition pink iPod shuffles turn up at Target stores!

Big retailer Target this month began offering shoppers a special edition pink Apple iPod shuffle and iTunes gift card combo, sales of which help support the fight against breast cancer.

It's unclear whether the promotion is in association with Apple or simply a move by Target to help move some of its remaining inventory of second-genration iPod shuffles.

iPhone a no-show at Apple Expo

The Apple Expo -- Europe's largest Apple and Mac tradeshow -- kicked off in Paris this week to little fanfare. Not helping matters was the conspicuous absence of iPhone, which had been widely expected to make its French debut at the conference.

Apple Releases iPhone 1.1.1 Update

Apple has released the iPhone 1.1.1 Software Update to iTunes.

The 154MB download warns that "If you have modified your iPhone's Software, applying this software update may result in your iPhone becoming permanantly inoperable."

New tools help hack into iPhone

iPhone hackers have some new tools now, thanks to HD Moore, one of the developers of the Metasploit hacking software.

On Tuesday, HD Moore announced that he was supporting the iPhone within his Metasploit framework and released software that would allow hackers to run "shellcode" command prompts on Apple's mobile device.
