Steve Jobs has posted an open letter to iPhone customers explaining the rationale behind the price cut and went on to offer each early iPhone customer who is not receiving a "rebate or other consideration" a US$100 store credit.

As expected, Apple has released iTunes 7.4 early this morning, adding support for many of the new features described at yesterday's Media Event. It is now available via software update or from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.
