MacHeist II a big success

After 15 very exciting days, the MacHeist II bundle finally comes to a close. It's hard to believe but during the peak of the sale, the bundle was selling at an even higher rate then the Nintendo DS! That’s more than 720 bundles an hour. This year's sales set a new milestone for shareware sales, easily making MacHeist II the most successful Mac shareware promotion ever undertaken. The final tally was 43,815 bundles sold and $488,003 raised for charity.

A look at the Eye-Fi card

One of my favorite products from Macworld Expo is the Eye-Fi card, a SD card with built-in WiFi that will work in almost any camera that uses SD cards. I'm using it in my Nikon D40x and it works exactly like any regular SD card.

Who really benefits from iPod commercials

Several friends have told me that they like the song in Apple's new MacBook Air commercial, "New Soul" by Yael Naïm, which I bought today. This isn't the first time a song used in an Apple commercial has made a big splash.
