Bare Bones Software has released TextWrangler 2.0, a free general purpose text editor with many of BBEdit’s features.

BBEdit has been one of my favorite must-have Mac applications for many years. In fact, this site is built with BBEdit.

Now everyone can get many of its features in a free text editor. If you’ve ever had to reformat text files or do complex text replacement, BBEdit & TextWrangler have many powerful features to make it easy.

BBEdit also has many powerful HTML tools and integration with several development tools which TextWrangler lacks, making it well worth the price.
