NoMoreCD.com opens 4 new drop-off points in France and makes the service available in 11 European countries from today.
Consumers can use the new NoMoreCD services to take full advantage of the wave of consumer electronics now available for streaming digital music and video throughout the home. Converted music is delivered in standard formats that can be used with portable music players of many kinds, including the very popular Apple® iPod™. The NoMoreCD conversion services are available on a Europe wide basis through the NoMoreCD web site (http://www.NoMoreCD.com).

Our entire business premise is to make a mysterious, frustrating, time consuming conversion process extremely simple and quick for our customers said Thomas Coutheillas, president and chief executive officer of NoMoreCD. To use the NoMoreCD service, customers visit the NoMoreCD web site and enter the number of the CDs they want to convert. Packing materials are sent via UPS to the customer, who uses them to return their CDs to the NoMoreCD automated conversion facilities. Converted materials along with the originals are returned in a similar fashion. The entire process takes about a week.

The CD NoMoreCD service starts at less than an euro per converted CD, with lower prices available for larger conversion batches. Since an average manual CD conversion can take 6-10 minutes on a typical PC, the NoMoreCD service can save days of conversion time and effort.

NoMoreCD has invested in software and hardware technology to make the digital conversion of music speedy, highly accurate, and fault tolerant.

In addition to returning music and video on standard DVD-R discs, NoMoreCD can also deliver music on high quality, brand name external hard disks that can be used on a plug and play basis with Apple or Windows PCs. Delivery on hard disk makes it a snap to organize music into playlists.

The excitement and wild growth around the iPod is very telling - people want to have their music on their PCs, available on their networks, ready to be distributed to every room in the house”. “The consumer electronics industry is poised to provide the infrastructure, our job at NoMoreCD is to make the transition simpler.
