Mac Mini Hacks
The Mac Mini is opened with a Putty knife as instructed by Apple however this method is leaving peoples Mac Mini in damaged conditions in many cases including scratches, seperation gaps and other scars. Until Apple releases the Mac Putty Knife an alternative way is discussed at Mac Mini Hacks about opening the mac mini without the putty knife instead using the innerwires of network cabling to loop around the hooks through the vented slots on the side releasing each tab for easy opening.

If you use a strong plastic Putty knife with a beveled edge to open the mac mini there is no scars or damage to the aluminum case. Worst case I broke my putt knife when applied to much force.
