State of the art studio in Senegal depends on Macs
Dakar, Senegal has one of Africa’s largest music industries with several state of the art production studios. Several local artists have a world-wide following, producing both albums for international release and for the local market.
Local musician Jimi M’baye recently opened one of the newest facilities, Studio Dogo, using Macs with ProTools LE. Jimi toured the world as the guitarist for Youssou N’dour’s band and is now working on his own solo career as well as producing albums for other artists.
Jimi’s studio setup includes G4 minitowers and PowerBooks.
