Mac OS X Update 10.3.9 Released

Although Tiger is two weeks away, Apple has released a new Mac OS X 10.3.9 update, now available in the Software Update panel. Improvements include: file sharing and directory services reliability for mixed Mac and PC networks; Mail, Safari and Stickies application reliability; compatibility for third party applications and devices; and previous standalone security updates.

I don’t know what they did to Mail, but it has slowed to the speed of USPS! I use an IMAP connection over LAN to my server, and it went from instant to too slow to be usable.

Seems to be Ciphire, not Mail itself. Hmm…

Java breaks after updating, as does the CheckPoint VPN client. Not good…
