AbOrygen announces the release of biOpen 2.0 for Mac OS X

The bioinformatics company AbOrygen, located in Mougins, France, this week announced the release of biOpen Version 2 ready for Tiger and offering new analysis tools and powerful features.

With the new Assembly tool, you can now assemble fragment data from sequencing projects using a sophisticated algorithm based on BLAST. The new interactive multiple trace view enables you to view and edit your assembled sequences.

The TMpred tool allows you to make a prediction of membrane-spanning regions and their orientation.

New features comprise calculation of physico-chemical parameters and 3D optimization to accelerate the speed of structure visualization.
