Site Changes
I’ve made several changes to this site to reduce the bandwidth & CPU usage and to cut down on spam.
- All articles before 2004 have been removed from the database and moved to a separate static archive section.
- Anonymous posts are no longer permitted. You must register to post stories or comments. Registration is free, and if you’re already registered at any other Drupal site, your Drupal ID will work here as well. You can also use your MacMegasite login at other Drupal sites.
- Comments will be closed on all articles more than two weeks old, unless it has an active discussion. Discussion is encouraged to move to the forums rather than story comments.
- Blog posting is available by request only. If you’d like to maintain a blog, just send feedback mentioning your user name and requesting a blog. If it’s abused for posting spam, blogging privileges will be removed.
