AB Transfer for AB - major speed improvement [more than 200 contacts/sec]
Kiel, Germany (20th June, 2005) - turingart is pleased to announce the immediate
availability of ‘AB Transfer’ 1.6, turingart’s versatile contact data import and export
solution.
‘AB Transfer’ reads CSV-separated, TAB-separated and Act! DBF input files, converts
them to Mac text encodings and finally adds them to OS X’ address book. Furthermore,
it allows to export address book data as Excel files or as special shirk-wrapped exports
for WEB.DE, GMX and PLAXO.COM web address books.
Release 1.6.0 is a major breakthrough regarding import speed. Now, AB Transfer
imports more than 200 records per second [time taken on G4@1 GHz running Tiger].
While import uses an OS X address book like user interface to map fields, exports are
one-shot operations performed within just a second.
As a first class OS X citizen, ‘AB Transfer’ isn’t available for other operating system.
