Import MySQL contact data directly into your OS X address book [AB Transfer 1.8.0|

Kiel, Germany (3rd July, 2005) - turingart is pleased to announce the immediate availability of ‘AB Transfer’ 1.8.0, turingart’s versatile contact data import and export solution.

Release 1.8.0 imports from MySQL database sources directly, includes a database browser (tables, table schemas, values) and scans Tiger mailboxes of Apple.Mail to retrieve email addresses from saved emails [From, To, Cc, Bcc, ReplyTo and ErrorReplyTo fields]. Moreover, some operations are now performed 2-3 times faster.

‘AB Transfer’ reads CSV-separated, TAB-separated and Act! DBF input files, converts them to OS X text encodings and finally adds them to OS X’ address book. Furthermore, it exports native Excel, WEB.DE, GMX and PLAXO.COM formats. While import uses an OS X address book like user interface to map fields, exports are one-shot operations.

As a first class OS X citizen, ‘AB Transfer’ isn’t available for other operating system.
