Google Talk
Although it hasn’t been officially announced yet, Google has a new Jabber-based IM service. Anyone with a GMail account can use it to log in to talk.google.com with any Jabber compatible program such as iChat or AdiumX.
Here’s how to set it up in iChat. Create a new Jabber account and enter the following details (using your own gmail address, of course):
