Many Mac developers have already ported their software to x86, and according to some who have the Intel development kit, it’s the easiest transition in Apple’s history. I can confirm that I was able to port Cocoa application by simply changing the processor architecture flags in XCode 2.1. I don’t have an x86 development system but I did get to try one at ADHOC. It’s by far the fastest Mac I’ve seen and the application I ported worked exactly as expected.
A list of currently available Mac x86 software has been posted at http://www.osx86.theplaceforitall.com/software/
