Apple has enhanced their .Mac service with 1GB of storage (2GB for family packs) and a new Groups feature that allow you to share photos, make announcements, share calendars, search member lists, and post messages.

Apple has also released Backup 3, which adds simplified backup of iLife content, among other new features.
