iPod Garage publishes its one hundredth hands-on iPod accessory review
iPod Garage published its one hundredth hands-on iPod accessory review today, just four months after it first announced that it would begin reviewing iPod-related products. The products reviewed have come from dozens of different companies and represent the full spectrum of iPod accessories, from cases to add-ons to car products and more.
“We just began reviewing products a short time ago,” said iPod Garage Publisher and Founder Bill Palmer, “and it’s taken off so quickly. Cooperation from iPod-related vendors has been tremendous right out of the gate, and our readers keep asking for more. When we first started doing this, our goal was to publish at least one product review each week. Now, it’s closer to one review being published each day. We’re really pleased to have become such a prominent source of iPod-related reviews in such a short period of time, and we look forward to becoming the preeminent iPod review site on the internet.”
iPod Garage review number One Hundred, published today, is an in-depth review of the Tivoli Audio iSongBook portable iPod speaker system. “iPod Garage is the first site anywhere on the internet to publish an in-depth hands-on review of the iSongBook, and I think that speaks to our growing stature within the industry,” said Palmer. “For that matter, other than the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, iPod Garage was the first site to publish a formal hands-on review of the iPod nano. But it’s not so much about our stature as it is our determination to give our readers the kind of content they’re looking for. It’s been our focus all along, and it’ll continue to be our focus going forward.”
Far more than simply a hands-on review site, iPod Garage publishes daily commentary from different walks of the iPod universe in the form of six different weekly columnists, as well as up to the minute iPod-related and iTunes-related news. And in recognition that the iPod is a music player, iPod Garage goes beyond accessory reviews and regularly publishes formal music reviews as well. In addition, iPod Garage features a thriving Forums section with lively discussion of all things iPod-related taking place twenty-four hours a day.
“iPod Garage is close to two years old now,” said Palmer. “This started as a one-person site, and at this point there are eleven of us working on it, each with our own specialty. Year Two turned out to be the year that we became one of the world’s most prominent iPod accessory review sites. I can’t wait to see what Year Three brings.”
