MarsEdit 1.1 public beta

Ranchero Software has released the first public beta of MarsEdit 1.1, their popular weblog editor. You can download the beta here.

MarsEdit is a weblog editor for Mac OS X that makes weblog writing like writing email—with spell-checking, drafts, multiple windows, and even AppleScript support.

It works with various weblog systems: Blosxom, Conversant, Manila, Movable Type, Radio UserLand, TypePad, WordPress, and others.

[*] Text formatting filter popup menu in the preview window.
[*] Choose edit-with external editor.
[*] HTTP authentication username and password settings. (As distinct from API username and password.)
