“You can off-course always find places on a map of San Francisco visiting Google Maps or similar, but how do you upload your own places, how can a user put his or her own files on maps, similar to what Google does with the places they want to put?  That’s where MapMemo comes in and is - as far as we have learned in the last years - a unique solution, and it’s a Mac-only solution.”

Two weeks ago MapMemo has started collecting places and infos concerning San Francisco from Apple users around the world. The collection of tips is now available as free archive in the download section at the MapMemo website.
The places are all linked and marked on a detailed map of San Francisco, which can be used, completed and redistributed by anyone as long as it is bound in a MapMemo file and as long as it is free of charge.

MapMemo - one year and over 11.000 downloads old - already has a reputation for it’s MapMemo Archives for Apple Events. “We had a massive download of our Paris MapMemo file for the Apple Expo in September 2005. Now we wanted to offer the same type of pre-configured map for San Francisco. A MapMemo Map full of tips, places and MacWorld related events, but also a map where everybody can add his or her own files and pass them on to friends or colleagues or just keep them and be well prepared for the next visit in San Francisco”, says MapMemo.
