nova media offers free iSync© support for latest mobile phones
Berlin, Germany, January 31st — nova media today introduced its free nova media phone plugins software featuring iSync© support for latest mobile phones.
The list of new devices features more than 25 mobile phones from Motorola, Nokia, Siemens and Sony Ericsson, allowing smoothless synchronization of calendar and contact data with a Mac OS X computer.
“In some cases it was only necessary to identify phones for iSync, in other cases new field definition tables had to be created to allow iSync to communicate in the best possible way with new phones.” states Jan Fuellemann, PR spokesperson at nova media. “For example the Siemens SL75 needs such a list. Telling iSync© the SL75 would be a phone from the S5x family would result in names shortened and fields not used.”
Nova media phone plugins for iSync do not touch the iSync@ application itself, placing new mobile phone definitions in the appropriate folder in the Mac OS X system instead. Thus the nova media phone plugins for iSync© is a clean way of expanding the capabilites of Apple´s iSync© software.
