airport express

Can anyone out there help, i was having trouble with my airport express in so much when i was playing music through itunes it started breaking up intermittantly. It had been fine since i installed it months before. I restarted it but since then i find i can either get internet connection through my netgear router or if i change some settings i can get music through the airport express connected to my hi fi but i can't get both. You will probably realise through the terminoligy that i use that i know next to nothing about computers so be gentle with me .thanks for any help.
