Merlin 2 Beta 6 - New & Enhanced Features!

Melle, Germany - August 29, 2006 ProjectWizards release their Beta 6 of Merlin 2, adding superb new features and enhancing concepts close to perfection.

Users and testers will find the list of new features very interesting in this beta version. Besides implementing a few minor features, it is now possible to add or create “Aunt” activities to the project. Two new reports are also delivered with the Beta 6, which should make a lot of users happy. The Budget/Cost Balance and the Cost Distribution reports shows a comprehensive list of your project budget and cost balance using your planned and actual values and a distribution of all your project costs respectively. These can then be easily saved, emailed or viewed as a web page.

One of the most interesting new features, however, has got to be a new export function. Merlin 2 Beta 6 now allows users to export the Gantt chart, Netplan and the histograms in the Utilization view as an image. The usual formats, like PDF, JPEG, PNG, GIF, among others are all supported with the image export.

The Merlin team also spent a part of their developing time optimizing certain important concepts in Merlin 2. For example, the actual against the planned concept has been intensively modified making this now a fine and extremely powerful tool to use.

The Beta 6 also contains the first draft of the English Tutorial which explains many of the new concepts in Merlin 2.

If you are now excited to test these features and functions out you may easily do so. Download Merlin 2 Beta 6 from the ProjectWizards website here and give it a spin. Details of all the new features and the modifications made to the Beta 6 can be found here.

All Merlin 1.x license bought now will get an upgrade to Merlin 2 free of charge. Users that have bought Merlin prior to June 1, 2006 will be charged an upgrade fee of EUR 75 (excluding VAT).
