Nokia 6030 Review

Been awhile since I've posted here, but I got a new phone so I figured I'd review exclusively on macmegasite. I received a Nokia 6030 from Cingular. I've owned a few Nokia's over the years and this phone is one of my favorites. It is a very basic phone but, it is loaded with amazing features.

You can see from the pictures that it is a very small and thin phone. It comes in black, (very smudge and scratch prone) the keys are transparent, with light that illuminates very nicely through them (also I like that after a few seconds the display and the keys slowly dim in sync with each-other). The screen is tiny and slightly washed out, but it does okay in direct sun light. The ear piece is good, it is loud, and very clear (I do occasionally get a slight hiss though). The speaker phone is very loud as well. The soft keys are very unique in that they roll over the edges so it feels more like a touch pad (like the LG chocolate) and less like a textured key. The interface is pretty standard like all modern day Nokia phones. It comes with a healthy amount of of multimedia things. One neat feature is the FM radio, it picks up some stations my car radio cannot! The battery lasts me for about three days (standard usage). And clear reception as always with Cingular. I give this a phone an 8 out of 10.............
