The Sun-Sentinel reports that Apple is opening their first retail store in Broward County at the Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale on April 21. Currently, the closest stores are in Boca Raton, Aventura or Miami Beach. Apple’s store directory hasn’t been updated yet.

The Fort Lauderdale store will have more display area than most Apple stores and more space for training sessions and workshops. With the Galleria location, Apple will have 13 locations in Florida and 158 in the United States. Only California has more stores than Florida. The company also has 21 outlets in Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy and Japan.
