Apple Introduces Final Cut Server
Apple today introduced Final Cut Server, a powerful new server application that works seamlessly with Final Cut Studio 2 to provide media asset management and workflow automation for post production and broadcast professionals. Final Cut Server, due in July, will support over 100 file types, keyword searches, and automatic proxy generation. Users can customize their workflow with templates, triggers for actions as well as implement hierarchical workflow management for review and/or approvals. Apple said the price of Final Cut Server will be $1000 for 10 concurrent users or $2000 for unlimited users.
