Major update - Übercaster v1.1 released

With Übercaster v1.1 “Pleasant Software for the People” releases a major update for its complete podcast production suite.

Übercaster is a complete production suite for podcasting on the Macintosh.
It lets podcasters prepare, record, cut and release their shows the way they’d expect it. The days of overloaded and bulky recording environments are over.

Version 1.1 delivers some major improvements and new functions:

  • Improved input device routines. Dramatically lower latency!
  • New “select and cut” function in “Track Edit” subview on cut layer: To move events, click and drag in the upper fourth of the Track edit subview (option-drag for copy). It’s also possible to drag selections to other tracks in the cut view.
  • New option “Reset Playhead on Stop” in the “Mark” menu. If switched on, the playhead resets to it’s start position after playback or record.
  • New version of PleasantConnect (v1.1) for recording iChat, Skype or any other chat application.
  • It’s now possible to choose a single channel from a multichannel input device.
  • Added a progress bar to the dock icon, showing the release progress.
  • Zoom tracks vertically on cut layer.
  • Several interface refinements.
  • Tons of other fixes and improvements.
