Apple releases iTunes 7.4
As expected, Apple has released iTunes 7.4 early this morning, adding support for many of the new features described at yesterday’s Media Event. It is now available via software update or from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.
The major new features in iTunes 7.4 include support for ringtones, Wi-Fi Music Store, and buying music from Starbucks. When you connect an iPhone to iTunes 7.4, a new Ringtones tab appears in the iPhone section. The ringtone gives an option to sync all ringtones or specific items. The list of ringtones is currently empty, so it looks like it won’t let you use music not purchased from iTunes Music Store and specifically made available as a ring tone.
