iPhone Firmware 1.1.1 will prevent huge international roaming charges
iPhone Atlas reports that iPhone firmware 1.1.1, which was shown on the newly announced UK iPhones, adds an option to disable EDGE roaming. This will prevent unintentional data roaming charges when traveling internationally, which I experienced first hand when I got a $300 bill for my one week trip to Vancouver.
Other features in the new firmware include a video out option and selectable double-click home button actions. Both features are already available on the iPod Touch. The major feature of firmware 1.1.1 will be support for the WiFi iTunes Store.
