A look at Evernote
There are a lot of applications that let you store notes and other bits of information on your Mac. EverNote is the latest contender, with some very unique features that set it apart from the competition.
EverNote combines a web service with their desktop software, so you can access your collection from the website when you’re away from your computer. You can also access your notes on your iPhone or other email-capable mobile device using IMAP.
EverNote also provides a lot of options for getting stuff into it. You can take snapshots from your mobile phone or built-in iSight. The Mac desktop application lets you take a screenshot or copy text. If you have a graphics tablet, you can even take handwritten notes. Finally, a bookmarklet lets you grab any web page to a note.
EverNote’s most amazing feature is image recognition, which lets you search for printed or handwritten text in any image.
