Taylor McNeil from www.mediapresstv.com shows you how to use OSX’s hidden minimize animation called “Suck”.
To enable the suck effect, enter the following commands in the terminal:
defaults write com.apple.dock mineffect suck
Killall Dock

what connection does this setting have with switching across the Spaces? because when i make this setting the Space switching seems to stop working. after this setting is removed, everything works as it was earlier.
Im not sure why your spaces have quit working properly, mine have had no problem with this effect. If it is giving you trouble you can easily switch back by going to your dock preferences and selecting one of the built in animations.
hey etomic13, thanks. with this feature turned on, the Spaces don’t switch automatically. i need to go through the Spaces and the applications there manually. i’ve switched it off.
