Ustream has received approval from Apple for its live video viewing application on the iPhone just in time to watch the Obama inauguration live from wherever you are. The application requires an open WiFi connection to show video. Audio is pretty good, picture quality is good but with a low frame rate. Of course, there is a lot of buffering, even over WiFi, and users can both read and leave comments in the chat stream. Get it here.

I have taken some screen shots, and posted on my Flickr stream.

Jumsoft announces the release of Stationery Pack. It includes 50 high-quality and exclusive design options for every occasion. Now it is possible to apply letter-paper’s ideas to your e-mails. All of the stationery themes are categorized under “Family,” “Congratulations,” “Invitations,” “Emotions,” “Vacations,” “Seasons,” and “Neutral.” Stationery Pack is created for Mac OS X 10.5 Mail.

Vilnius, Lithuania – Jumsoft announces the release of Stationery Pack of 50 high-quality and exclusive design options for every occasion. Now it is possible to apply letter-paper’s ideas to your e-mails.

All of the stationery themes are categorized under “Family,” “Congratulations,” “Invitations,” “Emotions,” “Vacations,” “Seasons,” and “Neutral.” That saves you time when looking for particular event.

Be the one in a thousand who cares about the warmth of e-mails. Let’s say that you send about five e-mails a day, each with a different content and aim. Suppose only two or fewer out of every hundred e-mails display something more than black letters on a white background. Why not illustrate and characterize your e-mails or notes, giving them a particular mood?

Send a thoughtful message and save time! The Stationery Pack is useful when you want to say something to a person you care about but when you have no words or lack the courage. In this case, choose a theme that reveals your feelings, and insert a few lovely words. Sometimes a sweet picture can say more than any words. By using Stationery Pack to indicate the purpose of your e-mail, you can save time. For example, rather than typing, “I would like to invite you to the movie,” use the cinema theme and insert the title and time only.

Create your own postcards! If you are bored with simply attaching photos of a journey or of a new baby to e-mails to family members, friends, or colleagues, Stationery Pack themes are a new way to present yourself. After you choose the necessary theme, simply drag and drop your photo into the photo area.

Creating an e-mail with Stationery is a snap. The Stationery comes with installer, so it will be displayed in Apple Mail New Message stationery menu conveniently. The Stationery requires Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Mail.

Pricing and Availability:
The Stationery Pack may be purchased for only $39 USD.

AT&T announced today that they will complete their deployment of HSUPA (3G upload) technology in the six remaining markets across AT&T’s entire 3G (third-generation) wireless broadband network.

This will complement its deployment of its HSDPA (3G download) network, making AT&T the only U.S. carrier to have fully deployed HSPA (up and down) technology on its 3G network. AT&T’s 3G network is available in more than 275 markets and will expand to nearly 350 markets by year’s end.

Wit this new technology, AT&T 3G users can enjoy uplink speeds between 500 and 800 Kbps. The technology is available in all but the few remaining AT&T 3G markets and will be included in all future deployments. The new upload speeds complement AT&T’s 3G download capabilities, which currently offer up to 1.4 Mbps across all markets for customers who have capable devices, such as AT&T’s LaptopConnect wireless modems.

The timing of the rollout conveniently coincides with the rumored 3G-capable iPhone launch, which we have rumored on MacMegasite for a while now, though fast upload speeds, which is the technology described in this press release is less critical for the current version of the iPhone. In the future, as applications are deployed on the iPhone, uploading larger files, such as video, or even video chat from the iPhone could become more common. Regardless, the “completion” of their 3G network in time for a June iPhone rollout remains interesting. We will just have to see what happens in the coming weeks with WWDC.

U.S. customers can use this map to determine if they have 3G coverage in their area. A list of cities is also provided.

MacRumors is reporting that there are circulating claims that the ‘Enable 3G’ setting screenshot in the latest iPhone 2.0 Beta was faked.

Photobucket

Asking whether or not this screenshot is fake is like asking if a perfect digital replica of a photo is fake. The story remains the same regardless of the answer. As mentioned in the original story, the exact wording and text from the screenshot appears in Apple’s iPhone 2.0 firmware:

Apple expects the 3G option in the upcoming iPhone to impact battery life enough that it offers the user and option to turn it off. There is no date on when the iPhone “3G” Version will be available, but rumors expect the phone to be debuted at Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference, June 9-13, 2008 at the Moscone West in San Francisco.

A small accessory maker is taking Apple and CBS to court because it wants the Mac maker to stop calling its standard desktop computer mouse the “Mighty Mouse.”

Landover-based Man & Machine, Inc. (M&M) filed the 14-page formal complaint in a Maryland district court on Tuesday because it claims to have introduced a computer mouse under the same name in March of 2004, more than a year before Apple’s device hit the market.

Personally, I think CBS is taking this a little too far, but what do you think? Leave a comment bellow!

Apple is known to consumers as the best music downloads application. Well, Napster is about to shoot that down.

In a direct challenge to Apple’s dominant iTunes Store, music subscription service provider Napster on Tuesday launched a new a la carte download service filled with DRM-free tracks that are compatible with both the iPod and iPhone.

With 6 million songs, the new offering is billed as “more than 50 percent larger than any other MP3 store” and not only the “largest major label MP3 catalog in the industry, but also the largest library of independent music available anywhere.”

Apple’s iTunes also boasts a catalog of over 6 million songs, but tracks from the service are served up in AAC format (not MP3) and only a fraction of those are offered free of copy restrictions by record label EMI.

The only reason why I would use this service, is because it is DRM-Free. Something Apple is doing, but I don’t want to pay extra for it. I buy it, its mine now. Just my two cents. What do you think? Leave a comment bellow!

UPDATE: The service, however, is not compatible with Apple’s Safari web browser.

The blistering success of Apple’s personal computer business continues to turn heads, with Mac unit sales growing 50 percent year-over-year for the month of April compared to just 17 percent growth by the broader market.

Apple remains the analyst’s “top pick” in the IT hardware space. He rates the company’s shares as “Overweight,” or outperforming those of its similarly situated peers over the next 12 months, with a price target of $202.

According to Gizmodo, they have received confirmation from “sources close to the 3G iPhone launch” that the 3G-capable iPhone will indeed be introduced at Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference.

Gizmodo also reports that the next iPhone will be offered with more traditional discounts and incentives rather then the fixed price point Apple had been offering with the original iPhone. No specific details have been leaked, though there have been rumors that even AT&T might offer a subsidy on the upcoming 3G iPhone.
