BROOKLYN, April 11 – The Mac Support Store, an Apple Authorized Service Provider Plus has made over 200 Apple service manuals available for download.

This vast library of Apple service manuals contains extensive chapters on troubleshooting, take apart, and schematic views. Remarkably, this library includes every piece of Apple hardware you could imagine. Even obsolete manuals like Newton MessagePads and Personal LaserWriters are there. While more current manuals seem logical, the question is: why would The Mac Support Store make obsolete manuals available?

“Three reasons,” said Jeff Graber, CMO (Chief Macintosh Officer) of The Mac Support Store. “Apple sells technical self-certification. People who make a living as Apple techs should have access to all hardware manuals, not just the latest ones. Secondly, people collect discarded hardware that could be rebuilt and sold using proper manuals. Lastly, the library is powerful information in lieu of planned obsolescence. Basically, if you can’t afford to buy a new Mac, at least you have the knowledgeable option to repair one.”

Company Information

The Mac Support Store is an Apple Authorized Help Desk Specialist, Reseller, and Service provider in New York City. Since 1996, they have supported over 17,000 business computers with Pro Support and iSupport for home users. The company is on the web at www.macsupportstore.com.

BROOKLYN, March 13 – The Mac Support Store, an Apple Authorized Help Desk Specialist has added VPN support and security to its popular iSupport service.

“One of our delivery obstacles was getting around the customer’s router,” said Jeff Graber, CMO (Chief Macintosh Officer) of The Mac Support Store. “Originally we had to guide customers to open certain ports on their router. Now with new VPN capability, the customer is given a simple VPN script, and can tunnel securely into our network using L2TP over IPSec with MS-CHAPv2 authentication. Service delivery just became easier and more secure.”

Since launching this past January, subscription to iSupport has increased by 73%.

Meanwhile, Graber and Co. continue to develop their hallmark service with “cool new features”. When asked what coolness was in store, we got a typical Jeff Graber answer. “You’ll see,” he said with a smile.

BROOKLYN, March 1 – The Mac Support Store, an Authorized Online Reseller of Apple products has launched its “Business Alliance Program.” This is not your typical, “yawnable” affiliate program.

The Alliance pays its members anywhere between 51-100% of the net sales volume – by far the highest commission from any affiliate program for Apple products. Other features include flexibility to resell on or offline, set your own competitive prices, and access to Apple Sales Web– a wealth of Apple advertising, marketing and sales training materials.

“We’ve looked at other affiliate programs, including Apple,” said Jeff Graber, CMO (Chief Macintosh Officer) of The Mac Support Store. “There are people working too hard for too little commission. We began this Alliance to give people a real chance at making a living with an affiliate program. Allies that dedicate themselves will do very well.”

The Mac Support Store has launched iSupport, a project that’s been in the works for two years. iSupport is live support, consulting, and preventive maintenance bringing expert knowledge to your Mac when you need it, according to CEO Jeff Graber.

Need email configured? Bought an Airport Base Station and need it setup? Want some keyboard shortcuts? Got a Bluetooth question? iSupport can help you with these and more.

“The Macintosh is the easiest computer to set up, but desktop computing still baffles many people” Graber says. “iSupport provides a fast and easy way to fill this knowledge gap through direct, real time access to skilled Macintosh experts.”

Headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, the Mac Support Store maintains two additional satellite offices in Houston and Plano, TX. The company is an Apple Authorized Reseller, Apple Service Provider Plus, Apple Help Desk Provider, and specializes in outsourced services for the local New York and Chicago metropolitan areas.

Any home or small office user in the US with a Mac running Mac OS X 10.3 or higher and a broadband connection may sign up on the iSupport page. (If you’re a larger business with more complex work flow and management needs, have a look at Pro Support instead.) What’s more, if you buy a Mac from the Mac Support Store, the first 30 days of iSupport are free. You’re allowed one Mac per registered iSupport account.

Included with the iSupport installer is an AppleScript called “iSupport Security” that will toggle the iSupport remote service on or off. This means you can keep iSupport off until you need it. A ticket is generated for every inquiry containing the details of your iSupport session, which is also emailed to you once the session is resolved. You may access your records at any time using a secure user name and password (the user name and password are emailed to you once registration is complete.)

iSupport is available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Eastern). “However, we’re working towards a 24/7 schedule including US holidays”, Graber says.

BROOKLYN, January 11 — The Mac Support Store, a Business Outsourcing Provider and online Reseller of Apple products is on schedule to launch iSupport starting Tuesday at 9AM EST.

But what is iSupport anyway? It appears to be a remote support service, but Jeff Graber and The Mac Support Store have kept a lid on the actual details for months. “We’ve been building iSupport since 2003. We were determined to create a national support service that Mac users would really enjoy. The ease of use will blow you away.”

Jeff Graber, CEO of the Mac Support Store still won’t reveal any details, but said Project Mercury will “play a huge part in the future of Mac support. To participate you must have a Mac running Mac OS X 10.3 (“Panther”) or higher. And you must have a dedicated broadband connection to the Internet.

BROOKLYN, August 30 — The Mac Support Store, a Business Outsourcing Provider and Online Reseller of Apple products, has added more than 5,000 genuine Apple parts into its online store. Customers can order any part Apple manufactured between 1991 and 2005.

“This is another important milestone in our online strategy to become the single online source for Apple goods and services,” said Jeff Graber, CEO of The Mac Support Store. “Apple has been selling packaged certification and customer installable parts for years but the choices for buying parts haven’t been reliable. Our parts come direct from Apple, so we’re able to keep costs low and quality high.”

Who is The Mac Support Store?

The Mac Support Store is foremost an Apple Authorized Help Desk Specialist. We’re also authorized to sell and service Macs. Since 1996, we have troubleshot over 17,000 Macintosh computers in New York City through a proprietary service called Power Support.

What is Power Support ?

Many small businesses are not large enough to afford a full-time IT department specifically for Macs. Power Support fills this void by providing customers with a higher level of technical expertise than they can typically employ in-house.

What we do :

* Keep clients up and running
* Answer many questions by phone
* Dash onsite to troubleshoot Mac issues
* Assume responsibility for Mac issues
* Ticket issues online where the client can participate
* Advise on best policies and practices
* Preventive Maintenence
* Guarantee all our work
* Repair Macs onsite, in or out of warranty
* Sell Apple stuff below retail prices
* Work with IT Managers that rely on our Mac knowledge

Why Power Support ?

Because Macs have different service and support needs!

We’re experienced. Every person that picks up the phone or comes onsite is not only a certified Apple professional, but a “street professional” who has self-mastered everything Macintosh.

We’re well-respected. Since 1996 we’ve grown mostly by word of mouth from satisfied clients, and through our strong partnership with Apple Computer.

We’re here to stay. Delivering long-term quality support for Mac users is what we’ve been doing for almost a decade. In the next decade we’ll still be asking how can we better serve our clients.

The Mac Support Store has announced a new partner program for companies that offer an online service or manufacture a product that users of Apple products would want to buy.

There’s a short form at the Mac Support Store site for submitting your application. If chosen, you’ll be listed on the site’s Partners menu. Jeff Graber, CEO of the Mac Support Store, says they’re offering the Partner Program for two reasons.

“First, we value unique ideas and products, and want to promote them on our store,” he says. “Second, we value solid partnerships where businesses can help each other to grow.”

This is a free listing for fellow entrepreneurs or businesses. However, you must provide at least one exclusive offer for a new customer and a reciprocal link to The Mac Support Store. Partners can be listed for providing a professional service or product that is one of a kind, well-executed, and is appealing to either consumer and/or pro users of Apple products, Graber says.
