Finally, Kang says that also claims that Apple will announce a new magnetic iPhone case with “MagSafe” and two official Apple wireless chargers called “MagSafe Charger” and “MagSafe Duo Charger,” one or both of which will have a 15-Watt power output.

The Sellers Research Group thinks there’s a 50% chance that this will happen. The charging devices could be a revision of the abandoned Apple AirPower project, which has been rumored to return. 

It’s interesting that, if Kang is correct, the chargers will be dubbed “MagSafe,” note “AirPower.” MagSafe was an adapter for Mac laptops. With the 2016 MacBook Pro line, Apple ditched the MagSafe connector, which disengaged with the slightest amount of pressure. This saved many Mac laptops from a disastrous plummet when someone accidentally snagged the power cable.
