Corellium releases functional version of Ubuntu (Linux) for M1 Macs : Apple World Today

Corellium has released an installable, functional version of Ubuntu for M1 Macs, according to Corellium CTO Chris Wade. Security researchers have released it on GitHub and an installation tutorial is due later today.

Ubuntu is a Linux distribution based on Debian and composed mostly of free and open-source software. Ubuntu is officially released in three editions: Desktop, Server, and Core for Internet of things devices and robots.

“Linux is now completely usable on the Mac mini M1,” Wade tweeted. “Booting from USB a full Ubuntu desktop (rpi). Network works via a USB c dongle. Update includes support for USB, I2C, DART.
