[prMac.com] Beijing, China – Beijing-based independent game developer VOX today is proud to announce the release and immediate availability of Bioocean Fantasy 1.0, its new realtime strategy fantasy game for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. (The game is also compatible on M1 Macs running macOS 11 or later.) Bioocean Fantasy allows players to immerse themselves in a fantasy world ruled by mutant jungles. The game, which took 7 years to complete, lures players into a world of discovery, where they seek to discover the kingdom of Trees – the Bioocean.

Bioocean Fantasy is a well-plotted, beautifully illustrated world (with hand-painted assets overlaid on 3D meshes). The game’s voice acting talent adds to the enjoyment for players, immersing them into a world ruled by mutant jungles. The game uses haptic effects for building explosions, while using other types of haptic feedback for button touches and to engage players physically.

“We tried to immerse players in this fantasy world that is ruled by mutant jungles. We tried many different art styles and finally decided to hand paint every single bit, and then attach these hand-painted assets on 3D meshes,” says VOX representative Ming Jing. “It involved a lot of work but we are pleased with the final result! We also use professional voiceover artists to advance all of the in-game plots.”

Players will interact with humans, fairies, and countless monsters as step into the world of discovery as they explore what has become the Kingdom of the Trees. Players can select their hero from a three character types, including an Archer, a Fighter, and a Sorceress.

The Archer signed a contract with a demon. While it cost him his eyes and sealed it to his bow, he wields the darkness power. He is also cursed and can be transformed into the devil incarnate.

The Fighter is a mere twelve-years-old, but is obsessed with mechanical engineering. His invention, the steam ball, is an engine containing pressurized steam, which brings destructive power to the boy’s mechanical armor, which provides a protective shield.

As a young girl, the Sorceress learned that she could control sand at will. She has the power to turn the sand that flows between her fingers into a fierce snake that is ready to battle or to create a terrible sandstorm that leaves a trail of destruction.

Gamers will battle towering enemies in the wilderness, while gathering precious resources that are required to build a base. Hundreds of ancient ruins dot the world’s landscape, all of which are guarded by various types of monsters. If the gamer conquers them they will earn rewards and special items. But, no one can overcome these hazards alone, so the game must summon heroes, gathering a strong party to aid them. Gamers must properly equip their hero before beginning the journey, which will return dividends when they are on the battlefield.

Professional narration and beautiful graphics help set the scene of the game’s expansive world of adventure and fantasy. The game uses real-time computation provided by an advanced Physics Engine to resolve the collisions among the hundreds of heroes and units engaging in real-time battles. AI behavior trees control the units artificial intelligence, making them react in an intelligent way.

“This game isn’t like most games in this category, which are simply ‘data-driven’ with players merely watching canned animations,” continues Ming Jing. “Bioocean Fantasy is an actual realtime strategy game, kind of like a mobile ‘Starcraft.’ I look forward to players stepping into this world of discovery, allowing them to discover what has become the kingdom of Trees – the Bioocean.”
