iPhone SE (4th generation)rumored to grow with 6.06-inch OLED panel

Apple’s current 5G iPhone SE 3 is powered by the A15 Bionic chip

The next iPhone SE is shaping up to be a significant upgrade, according to leaks. It could ditch its current 4.7-inch display for a larger 6.06-inch display and become the first SE model with a premium OLED screen. Rumors also suggest a jump to a 48-megapixel camera and increased memory, hinting at the ability to run Apple Intelligence features. This could transform the budget-friendly iPhone SE into a more well-rounded option for users seeking a balance between affordability and performance.

David Snow for Cult of Mac:

iPhone SE 3, launched in March 2022, is due for an upgrade. And when the new version of the compact handset comes out, it may see a big bump up in size and become the first SE with an OLED screen, Weibo user Ice Universe said Saturday.

Previous rumors indicated the iPhone SE 4 will resemble iPhone 14 and run on Apple’s A18 chip. iPhone SE 4 likely will come with Face ID instead of the current Touch ID Home button. It could include a 48MP camera. And it might sport enough memory, up to 8GB, to support Apple Intelligence functionality. Of course, as with any new Apple gear, it’s a good bet we’ll see a USB-C connector instead of Lightning.

The iPhone SE 3 currently lists for $429. The iPhone SE 4, which could come in spring 2025, might jump up in price to $549, according to other rumors.
