Apple Music Classical for iPhone
Apple Music Classical this week debuted a new Top 100 album chart. The list features the most popular classical music albums that are available globally, combining five data sources from over 165 countries. Sources include Apple Music Classical streams, Apple Music streams, iTunes downloads, iTunes song sales, and Shazam tags.
Apple plans to update the Apple Classical Top 100 list every Monday, and it will be available on the Apple Music Classical Home tab. Each chart will include streaming activity from the previous week.
The first top album on the chart is Bach: Keyboard Concertos with Chinese pianist Tianqi Du and the Academy of St Martins in the Fields conducted by Jonathan Bloxham. The top five albums feature artists from Canada, China, Brazil, Latvia, Norway, and the UK.
