Apple Cash will require ID verification as of October 4th

Apple has made a few updates to the Apple Cash Terms and Conditions.

The key changes:

• With iOS 18 and watchOS 11, you will be able to use Tap to Cash to exchange Apple Cash by holding your iPhone or Apple Watch near another iPhone or Apple Watch. Tap to Cash limits have been added to the Terms and Conditions and will count toward your P2P limits.

• Commencing on October 4, 2024, Apple will begin requiring that users verify their identity to send more than a total of $500 in P2P transfers (whether sending from your Apple Cash balance and/or from a supported payment card in Wallet). Prior P2P send transactions will count toward this limit.

• Apple has clarified that the weekly P2P transfer limits apply to P2P transfers you send as well as receive.

• Apple has added Vision Pro as a supported device.
