When does the iPhone 16 go on sale?
The iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max handsets were announced at Apple’s iPhone event on September 9 abd pre-orders start on Friday, September 13. Read: How to pre-order iPhone 16, Plus, Pro and Pro Max on Friday and get ready to order your new iPhone on the day they go on sale!
Pre-orders on Apple’s website will start at 5 a.m. PDT, at 8 a.m. EDT on Friday, September 13.
The phones will go on sale on Friday, September 20.

It will be a while before we see any really good savings on the price of the iPhone 16 handsets, but once the new iPhones go on sale we expect to see money off at Amazon.

In the U.S., Apple is once again partnering with carriers to offer discounts on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. You get a $30 discount if you buy a phone activated on AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile. That’s why Apple lists the price of the iPhone 16 as $799 and the iPhone 16 Plus as $899—that’s the price with the carrier-activated discount applied.
Best deals at Boost Mobile
Boost Mobile has confirmed the following Phone 16 offers. These include:
A full year of FREE Boost Mobile wireless service when purchasing the iPhone 16 at full price with the $25/mo Unlimited plan, or apply the offer to the $50/mo Unlimited+ or $60/mo Unlimited Premium plans. Available to both new and existing customers, this offer has no trade-in or line requirement.
Get $1,000 off the iPhone 16 lineup with Boost Mobile’s $65/month Infinite Access plan, which includes unlimited 5G data, global roaming AND an upgrade to the latest iPhone every year. Unlike other carriers, Boost Mobile offer all its iPhone deals and offers with no trade-in required.
In partnership with Apple Retail, Boost Mobile customers who combine $1,000 off the iPhone 16 lineup with the Infinite Access plan and trade in an iPhone can receive up to $1,650 in credits or even get the iPhone 16 Pro Max for free.
Best Unlocked iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Max deals
Buying direct from Apple is one of the few ways to buy an unlocked, SIM-free iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Plus, and it’s the go-to place to join the iPhone Upgrade Program which from $39.50 a month will get you a new iPhone every year including AppleCare+ coverage.
