Apple releases iOS and iPadOS 18.0.1 to fix launch bugs and M4 iPad support

Macworld

Apple has issued an unusually-timed iOS update to fix a few critical iOS 18 launch bugs. The iOS 18.0.1 version was released on a Thursday afternoon–very unusual for Apple OS releases–and it fixes a few of the more significant bugs with the new iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 release.

Notably, iPadOS 18.0.1 is available for iPads with M4 processors, after Apple released and then quickly pulled iPadOS 18 for those devices after some users found it rendered their pricey new iPads unusable.
