The Rugged 10K Wireless Power Bank features the typical hexagonal design elements that Urban Armor Gear is known for. However, the plastic housing is fitted with a thick rubber bumper and the connectors are hidden behind rubber caps to protect them from dirt. The Rugged 10K meets the U.S. military drop test standard (MIL STD 810G 516.6) and the IPX6 standard.
Its battery has a capacity of 10,000 mAh, with the inductive charging power at 10 watts; it charges at 20 watts through the USB-C port. I measured the 30-minute charging speed for inductive charging with an iPhone 15 at 23 percent and via USB-C at 52 percent. It’s fast via USB-C, but its wireless charging is average. Using USB-C, an 11-inch iPad Pro charged 28 percent in 30 minutes, and a M3 MacBook Air charged 16 percent. These are standard measured values for 20 watts.
The inductive charging station is compatible with MagSafe and has a good grip. In addition to the USB-C port (which recharges the power bank in around two hours) there is also a USB-A port. The rubber caps sit very tightly on the connections.
On the underside, the power bank has an activation button and a four-stage LED display. A wide folding stand is concealed at the back. The wide and robust construction of the stand ensures a good stand. A robust USB-C charging cable is included in the scope of delivery.
