Apple upgrades Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse to USB-C

Apple’s Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad for Mac models with Apple silicon (USB–C) – US English – Black Keys and Magic Mouse (USB‑C) – White Multi-Touch Surface

Apple this week finally unveiled USB-C versions of its popular accessories: the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad. Available in both white and black, these new models offer the same familiar design as their Lightning-powered predecessors, but with the added convenience of USB-C connectivity for charging and data transfer.

The new accessories are now available for purchase on Apple’s Online Store. Pricing starts at $179 for the Magic Keyboard with a numeric keypad, $149 for the smaller Magic Keyboard without a numeric keypad, $79 for the Magic Mouse, and $129 for the Magic Trackpad. Black versions of each accessory are priced at a $20 premium.

MacDailyNews Take: Yup, the Magic Mouse is still charged via a port on the bottom of the mouse rendering it unusable while charging. Some of Jony Ives’ gifts just keep on giving.
