Here are the airlines that officially let you track your luggage with Apple AirTags
Apple’s “Share Item Location” feature enables users to share the location of their AirTags with select airlines (see below) to assist in locating lost luggage.
How to Share AirTag Location:
Update your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the latest operating system.
Open the Find My app.
Select the AirTag attached to the lost luggage.
In the Lost AirTag section, tap “Share Item Location.”
Tap “Continue,” then “Share Link.”
Copy and paste the link, or use the iOS Share feature, to send it to the airline.
Airlines Supporting AirTag Sharing (as of December 2024):
• United Airlines
• Delta Air Lines
• Air Canada
• British Airways
• Lufthansa
• Air New Zealand
• Turkish Airlines
• Aer Lingus
• Austrian Airlines
• Brussels Airlines
Security and Integration:
• Security: Access to the location link is limited, and recipients must verify their identity using an Apple account or partner email. Sharing automatically stops when the item is found or after seven days.
• Integration: This technology will be integrated into SITA’s baggage-tracing system, used by over 500 airlines and 2,800 airports worldwide.
MacDailyNews Note: Apple’s AirTag 4-Pack is currently 29% off the regular price of $99, now just $69.99 for a limited time via Amazon.
