Cisco improves Webex integration for Apple products in business

Cisco appears to be all in on Apple in the enterprise, making a range of announcements at the US Enterprise Connect trade show, where it also introduced a raft of AI enhancements.
What’s new for Apple devices?
Webex-users supporting Apple’s devices gain a raft of new features, including the ability to share content from their Apple kit to Cisco devices, which you’ll often need to do in enterprise meeting rooms. You also gain better integration with Vision Pro. The release puts these enhancements as follows:
“Apple AirPlay on Cisco Devices is now available for Microsoft Teams Rooms, enabling instant wireless content sharing from iPhone, iPad or Mac to Cisco Devices.
“Now generally available, Cisco Spatial Meetings allows users to turn any space equipped with a Cisco Room Bar Pro into an immersive studio with Webex for Apple Vision Pro.”
The Webex team believes Apple has a huge part to play in the future of enterprise tech. In part that reflects the strong popularity of the company’s own Mac choice scheme, and its own confirmation that Apple kit makes employees more productive. It also reflects the company’s belief in Vision Pro.
“…With the launch of Apple Vision Pro, Apple is on the brink of reinventing personal electronics yet again, marking the next frontier of collaboration with spatial computing,’ said Cisco Executive Vice President Jeetu Patel.
What’s new for AI?
“Enterprises are starting to realize the potential of agentic AI. It is reinventing what it means for people and technology to work together across the physical and digital worlds,” said Patel. “Our customers love how Webex AI is built seamlessly into the way you work. Working alongside employees increasing efficiency, improving employee sentiment and enhancing overall customer experiences.”
To support this the company announced several AI integrations.
Webex AI Agent: A 24/7, self-service solution with natural, human-like interactions that works alongside human agents to answer routine and high-volume customer questions.
Cisco AI Assistant for Webex Contact Center: New features coming to Cisco’s AI Assistant for Webex Contact Center include suggested responses and real-time transcription for agents.

AI Capabilities in Webex Control Hub will allow IT admins to easily access, search and manage all AI ecosystems in one place, and to customize them to match their organization’s needs.
