In a new study, Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) looks “at one of the best metrics we have to understand iPhone sales, US-WARP” – the weighted average retail price of new iPhones sold in the March quarter.

Apple introduced the iPhone 16e during the quarter, replacing the lower-priced and older iPhone SE. At the same time Apple discontinued the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, streamlining the model lineup considerably. For now, we have both the new iPhone 16e and the older, now-discontinued models in the quarterly results.

CIRP says that in the June 2025 quarter there will be “a more refined view” of the relative performance of the new and continuing models. In the March 2025 quarter, US-WARP was $971, up from $953 in the December 2024 quarter and down from $1,001 in the March 2024 quarter.
