Apple acquires startups to improve its Calendar apps and more
Between 2024 and 2025, Apple bought several startups to improve its Calendar application, its assembly lines and more generally its AI skill, according to the French blog MacGeneration.
Several Apple acquisitions that have come under the radar have been reported to the European Commission under the Digital Markets Legislation (DMA). There is no information about what Apple will do with these companies and their products, “but some of these companies’ activities are clearer than others,” according to to MacGeneration.
One of the companies scooped up is Mayday Labs. The company makes an all-in-one calendar, task manager, and scheduling assistant for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS.
